Hens parties in Brisbane

Most Brisbane hens parties happen in a house rather than a venue, and that is the right call — no minimum spend, no closing time, and the group can be as loud as the neighbours will tolerate. The inner north and inner west do the heavy lifting: New Farm and Teneriffe apartments with a balcony, Paddington and Red Hill Queenslanders with a deck, West End and Highgate Hill for anything that wants to be walkable to somewhere else afterwards.

The practical Brisbane consideration is heat. From October through March, an afternoon hens party outdoors needs shade and it needs the bar out of the sun, or the ice budget doubles and the prosecco goes warm in twenty minutes. We plan around it — the bar goes under cover, on the shaded side of the deck, and the drinks list shifts towards long and cold rather than short and strong.

Queenslanders with a deck

Paddington, Red Hill, Bardon, Ashgrove. The deck is the party; the bar goes at the top of the stairs so nobody has to walk past it twice.

Riverside apartments

New Farm, Teneriffe, Newstead, South Brisbane. Check the building rules on guest numbers before you book — a few strata schemes cap them.

Walkable to the Valley

West End, Fortitude Valley, Spring Hill. Start at the house, finish out. Book the second venue before the night, not during it.

Bigger houses further out

Bulimba, Camp Hill, Coorparoo, Ashgrove. More room, more parking, and usually a pool between October and April.

What you're booking

A working bar, not a novelty act

The Barmen X is the adults-only side of a real mobile bar company. Whichever package you pick, what arrives in Brisbane is bartenders and hosts who are RSA trained, a mobile bar sized to your space, and cocktails, mixers, glassware, ice and equipment.

  • The Barmen X — the full adults-only night, with games hosted properly
  • Male topless waiters — an add-on in Brisbane, booked by the hour
  • The Professors — a cocktail making class, the tamest thing we do
  • The BarQueens — an all-female team, on request

Alcohol is BYO with our shopping list, or supplied by us if you would rather. Set-up and pack-down are included, so you pay for serving time only.

Timing

Send the date before you decide anything else

Brisbane Saturdays between September and November are the busiest dates we take all year. If your wedding is in spring, send the date before anything else is decided. Monday to Thursday hens nights get 20% off, and if the date can move at all that is the biggest lever you have.

Good to know

Brisbane questions, answered

Do you come to Brisbane?

Yes. Brisbane Saturdays between September and November are the busiest dates we take all year. If your wedding is in spring, send the date before anything else is decided.

Can you set up at an Airbnb or a holiday apartment?

Yes, and most of our Brisbane hens parties are exactly that. All we need is a bench or a table and access to a sink. Check the building or listing rules on guest numbers first — a few of them cap it, and it is much easier to know that before the invitations go out.

How much does a Brisbane hens party cost?

It depends on staff numbers, hours, your address and whether we supply the alcohol, so each booking is quoted individually and itemised line by line. Send the date, the address and the headcount and it comes back quickly. Monday to Thursday hens nights receive 20% off.

Is it strictly 18+?

Yes. Every guest must be over 18. Our hosts are RSA trained, alcohol is never served to underage guests, and every game and add-on is opt-in. Nobody is forced, everyone is allowed.
